Why I'm Here For You

I've been in the medical field now as a paramedic since 2010. I love what I do. I love the science. I love the problem-solving. I love helping people. I love all of it. I've had a heart for people for as long as I can remember.

In the field that I work in, I frequently see people who are sick, hurting, burdened with health problems, and the emotional and mental turmoil that accompanies that. A lot of these health problems are preventable and are keeping people from living out their full potential. A life lacking joy, energy, and clarity. My goal is to help people before they get to the point of disease that follows obesity and poor health and nutrition choices.

It reminds me of the story of the frog in the pot of water. All he knew is that he was enjoying life, indulging in a warm bath. However, the water temperature slooooowly turned up until it reached its boiling point. The frog didn't notice the subtle changes until it was too late and he met his demise.

Our health is much the same. We take these little repetitive baby steps in either the direction of good health or bad health. In that moment there are no immediate consequences, but it adds up. If we get complacent and adapt to our surroundings, getting used to making these poor choices, we eventually end up like the unfortunate tale of the frog; in boiling water.

No one wakes up one day and says, "Yep! Today's the day! I want diabetes!" Or, "I want to be unhealthy!" No one wants to live that way. Most of us are burdened by our full-time jobs, parenting, schooling, and may lack the knowledge and know-how to make healthier choices.

This is the driving force of my heart; to help educate people that are ready to make some changes and give them the tools to implement what they learn; to choose better habits before it ever gets to that boiling point.

If we make an effort and work hard to make those small positive, healthy decisions, it leads to a life full of energy and joy. I want to help you step into that life. You have AMAZING potential and are meant for glorious things on this earth, where you feel fit physically and mentally, full-of-life, and ready to take on the world and what it has to offer!

I don't believe in fads. I don't believe in quick fixes. I believe in promoting science-backed information, to promote sustainable lifelong lifestyle changes so that you can be focused, have clarity of mind, energy to play with your kids, excel in your job, or just participate in activities you love.

A lot of people try to change their environments around them or implementing new routines or diets and fail over and over again. This leads to discouragement and giving up. But there's a major element here that is being missed by many that is at the forefront of not only health and wellness, but personal success, finances, and personal growth. That element is behavior change. Mindfulness. Mindset.

Behavior change is a theme that is woven through everything I teach. Barriers have to be addressed in our minds before the mountains can be climbed in the world outside of us. There's a reason you are here reading this. And I am honored. I am honored that I have a chance to work with you and pass on the knowledge that you can successfully implement in your own life to achieve your deepest desires of how you picture your life should be and to bring up that strength that you've always had inside of you.

You have everything inside you to get to where you want to be. I am just here to guide you on your journey and uncover the tools and methods to help you get there.

It's hard work, but it gets easier. And most importantly, you're worth it. You are worth putting the time and effort into the life you've always dreamed of having. I can't wait to get to know you and work with you.

Much love,

P.S. Just a few silly things about me...

  1. I've been with an amazing man, my husband Adam, since 2011.
  2. We're both goofy.
  3. I love laughing and joking. Don't take life so seriously all the time. People stroke out from that kinda stuff. The last thing I need is an aneurysm.
  4. Adam and I race cars together (autocross).
  5. I am also a firefighter.
  6. I work in the Arctic Circle for 2 weeks and then I fly home and I'm off for two weeks. Our Arctic slang for that is "working a 2 and 2."
  7. I am imperfect and battle with my own unhealthy habits.
  8. I might not know ya, but I love ya.

The End.
